3. AI & Recommendation Features
MealRadar uses AI systems to help you discover deals. These systems may:
Categorize and tag restaurant deals automatically
Rank and surface deals most relevant to you
Personalize the order and content of your feed
Improve search accuracy and deal discovery over time
Important: These systems are intended to improve your experience finding food deals and are not used for legal, financial, employment, or similarly significant decisions about you.
We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to train and improve these systems. We do not use your personal information to build profiles for sale to third parties.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with third parties only in these limited circumstances:
Hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate our platform (e.g. Cloudflare)
Analytics providers — to understand how MealRadar is used in aggregate
Notification providers — to deliver deal alerts you have opted into
Authentication providers — to enable secure sign-in
Legal obligations — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you
All third-party providers are selected for appropriate data protection standards and are contractually limited to the purposes we specify.
5. Notifications & Communications
If you opt in, we may send you:
Nearby deal alerts based on your location or preferences
Personalized restaurant recommendations
Product updates and new features
Service announcements necessary for account management
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by updating your notification preferences in the app or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You cannot opt out of essential service announcements.
6. Your Choices
You have the following rights and controls over your information:
Update your account — edit your profile, preferences, and notification settings at any time
Disable notifications — turn off deal alerts in your account settings or device settings
Disable location — revoke location permission in your browser or device settings at any time; the app will continue to work using manually entered city/region
Request account deletion — email us and we will delete your account and associated personal data
Request a data export — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide MealRadar and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
Anonymized and aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
9. Children's Privacy
MealRadar is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@mealradar.app and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of MealRadar after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
